Established in 2005, the Green Tree Community Health Foundation is a not-for-profit public charity whose purpose is to improve the health and well being of communities of northwest Philadelphia and eastern Montgomery County. Through ongoing needs assessments, it identifies certain areas of vulnerability in these communities and provides funding to organizations whose work will address these needs. Additionally, the Foundation looks for opportunities to develop initiatives where it can fund and provide needed services directly.

The Foundation's focus is on these specific areas: Frail and Isolated Elderly; At-Risk Children; Hunger & Food Insecurity. Where appropriate, the foundation favors programs aimed at prevention.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

Green Tree Community Health Foundation, a local nonprofit working to improve the health of our community, welcomes Bethany J. Flood as their new Executive Director upon the retirement of their long time President/CEO, Susan M. Hansen.

Bethany joined Green Tree in 2013 as Grants Manager, bringing more than 10 years of experience in development and social work to Green Tree. She has revitalized the grants process, developed supportive programming for local nonprofits, and built lasting relationships with community members.

Green Tree is grateful for Susan's 13 years of committed service and is looking forward to working with Bethany in this new capacity.
